Dominica Continue To Lead The Citizenship By Investment Industry

For several years in a row, Dominica’s citizenship by investment program ranked first among all programs and was recognized as one of the most effective and transparent.

For six consecutive years, PWM Magazine Financial Times has ranked Dominica as the number one CBI country in the world. The country received this high rating due to due diligence, ease of processing, accessibility, and efficiency.

Due diligence was particularly noted in the Smith and Williamson report. The citizenship by investment program poses no risk for tax evasion.

“Smith and Williamson Citizenship by Investment Programme of Dominica does not present a risk to facilitating tax evasion because citizenship alone is insufficient to secure tax residency of a country, and an individual is only liable to tax in countries where they are tax resident, subject to an existing double taxation treaty,” the report says.

The same position was expressed in Ernst & Young (EY) report.

Queen’s adviser Balraj Bhatia, who is also a member of London-based Inner Temple, also praised Dominica’s citizenship by investment program, especially in terms of tax benefits.

Since 1993, Dominica’s citizenship by investment program has been offering foreign investors to invest in the country through an economic diversification fund or the purchase of the real estate. After passing due diligence, the applicant and their family can obtain citizenship and a passport.

Benefits of the Dominica Citizenship by Investment Program:

  • Quick processing: A lifetime citizenship and new passport is granted in 3-9 months
  • Privacy: The application process is confidential
  • Low cost: Dominica offers one of the most affordable legal programs available to the global community
  • Hassle-free: There is no requirement to visit Dominica in order to qualify for citizenship
  • Zero tax: The island has no income, wealth, or inheritance taxes
