In a move aimed at boosting economic growth, Grenada has revamped its Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Unit. Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell hopes rebranding to Investment Migration Agency will garner more support for the migration industry, which brought in an estimated EC$456 million in revenue last year. This move underscores Grenada’s commitment to leveraging migration as a catalyst for socio-economic advancement.

Grenada is among a few Caribbean countries offering CBI programs, allowing foreign investors to gain citizenship by investing in the island’s development.

Prime Minister Mitchell stated that migration is a natural part of human existence, and small islands like Grenada should maximize its benefits. The renaming of the CBI Unit to the Investment Migration Agency of Grenada and leading it under tagline of “Unlocking The Possibilities” aims to change how Grenadians view the migration industry.

The renaming of the CBI Unit to the Investment Migration Agency of Grenada signals a shift in the nation’s perception of the migration industry. Mitchell emphasized that migration investment should be seen like any other financial service, offering opportunities for global citizens. By reframing the narrative surrounding migration, Grenada aims to position itself as a premier destination for discerning investors seeking both financial returns and a sense of belonging in a vibrant community.

Beyond the direct infusion of capital, the program fosters job creation, infrastructure development, and capacity building, thus contributing to Grenada’s overall prosperity.

By rebranding its CBI program, Grenada aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and competitiveness, attracting more investors and boosting the nation’s economic growth.

Grenada’s strategic move underscores its commitment to sustainable development and prosperity for its people.
