The new hospital in Dominica with an area of 3,700 square meters will soon be completed. The building will house 75 beds with basic services, including a trauma center, emergency care, outpatient, laboratory, and radiology services. This will not only be a huge contribution to the development of health care in Dominica, but also an opportunity to organize jobs.

This project was funded by the Dominica Citizenship by Investment Program, through which foreign investors make an economic contribution to the country and in return receive citizenship in Dominica.

Created to stimulate domestic economic growth in 1993, Dominica Citizenship by Investment is one of the most affordable programs for the global community.

Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs, and Planning Gregory Riviere stressed the importance of the program: “Of course, there is no way that we would be able to get a loan to build this facility, not in this covid-environment; and grants are not always forthcoming because every country is trying to keep what little they have, and we cannot rely on taxes because in this covid environment we have seen a dramatic decrease in our tax revenues. So, the CBI is a very, very good instrument that we can use to finance those capital projects,” he said.

The Dominica Citizenship by Investment program has a number of advantages that attract foreign investors:

  • Quick processing: A lifetime citizenship and new passport is granted in 6-9 months
  • Privacy: The application process is confidential
  • Low cost: Dominica offers one of the most affordable legal programs available to the global community
  • Hassle-free: There is no requirement to visit Dominica in order to qualify for citizenship
  • Zero tax: The island has no income, wealth, or inheritance taxes
