Recently, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit announced an update on the opening of an international airport. Project Manager Collin McIntyre has joined the Prime Minister.

The Government of Dominica has officially signed an agreement with Montreal Management Company for the construction of the airport, fully funded by the Citizenship by Investment Program. This funding option was supported by the project manager. Prime Minister Skerrit focused on transparency from the government.

Separately, the issue of the importance of the program for the country as a whole was raised: “We thank God for the CBI and the many opportunities the programme has brought to our country. […] The CBI funds are used for public sector investment projects [like] roads, bridges, schools, housing, health centres, hospitals and paying down on our most expensive debts.”

The money received from foreign investors through the program goes to improve infrastructure and life on the island. For example, for the construction of a large housing project and 12 health centers on the island. The transparency of the program was confirmed by independent bodies, including Pricewaterhouse Coopers, who audited the program and analyzed its costs in the 2019 report.

More recently, funds from the program have contributed to the construction of a state-of-the-art hospital, an extensive housing project, and 12 health centers on the island. The transparency of the program was confirmed by independent bodies, including Pricewaterhouse Coopers, who audited the program and analyzed its costs in the 2019 report.
