With the Portugal Golden Visa program, foreigners can obtain residency in this sunny country.

From January 2022, changes will be made to the rules for purchasing real estate. The government excludes Porto, Lisbon, and parts of the Algarve as areas where you can buy real estate and obtain a Golden Visa.

The minimum investment in funds will also be changed, instead of an investment of 350,000 euros, foreigners will have to invest from 500,000 euros.

Important! All Golden Visa recipients until January 2022 will retain their benefits, even after changes are made. That is, everyone who has already received a visa or is in the process of obtaining it will keep it as it is.

It is worth taking into account that the state takes time to consider an application, so it is worth hurrying to submit.
