The French government announced a change in the rules for applying for a visa or residence permit marked “Talent Passport – New business” (Passeport talent – Créateur d’entreprise) for non-European citizens. It will be necessary to submit a request to the Ministry of Economy in order to obtain an opinion on the nature of the business and its creation.

That is, if the founders of the companies plan to obtain a residence permit, then they must submit a real and serious plan to the government to create a viable business in France.

They must also prove that they have invested at least 30,000 euros in the business and sufficient annual financial resources that correspond to the minimum wage (as of October 1, this amount is 19,074 euros).

Prior to applying for a visa and/or a residence permit marked ‘’Talent Passport – New business’’ ( Passeport talent – Créateur d’entreprise ), non-European citizens will soon have to submit a request to the Ministry of the Economy for an opinion on the real and serious nature of their business creation project,” the French authorities noted.

The “Talent Passport for Company founders” is a special residence permit for founders of foreign companies from outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland who wish to set up a company in France.
